Just crossed 900 followers! Wow! Grateful for you all.
Here’s a list of ten vintage devices I hope never die:
10. Film cameras - if you know, you know. they’re just straight up fun to use.
9. Mechanical watches - tick tocking must live on.
8. Desk calculators - whizzes on these are so impressive and my wife is one of them.
7. iPods - i’ve mentioned these before, but wow - paying for your physical music so an artist can make art just makes sense.
6. Alarm clocks - phone can go to bed when you do? and you wake up on time anyway? win-win.
5. Flip phones - for those who are just mega bucking the smart phone trend, they still have the sassiest way to answer and end a phone call. dope.
4. Writing utensils - penmanship is dead in our modern technological era. my handwriting sucks but when you get a beautiful handwritten note or letter - it feels like an artifact.
3. Board games - analog fun, the way it should be. tell me hungry hungry hippos - smacking the shit out of plastic - isn’t a good time.
2. Physical copies of books - hot take, i think publishers should require it where a digital book copy comes with the physical copy. thus you own the book and you can take it with you. thus keeping both industries thriving.
1. Gameboys - the nostalgia king of my heart. may it forever pass from generation to generation so that my children’s grandchildren must catch em all.
